WWE rumors: Reigns may drop his United States championship

Big things happened recently to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), notably with Monday Night Raw.
After a successful Surivor Series, new storylines have been drawn and the RAW superstars are looking to make the most of the momentum that they have.
One of them is Roman Reigns who is the current United States champion and appears to be making a move for the Universal Championship.
In the most recent RAW event in Charlotte, North Carolina, Reigns interrupted Chris Jericho's segment "The Highlight Reel" to challenge Universal Champion Kevin Owens to a match.
This resulted in an apparent argument between Owens and Jericho, with the latter leaving the premises prematurely.
Jericho would then be attacked by Seth Rollins, who was not medically cleared to appear in the RAW episode at the time.
On the other hand, Reigns would have his match-up against Owens which went cleanly as Owens did not have his best friend around to help him get out of a tight spot.
Reigns and Owens battled intensely until Reigns came out victorious. It now appears that Jericho and Rollins will have their own rivalry thanks to that attack outside of the squared circle.
This has sparked talks that it might be time for Reigns to lose his United States Championship in order to chase the Universal title.
It appears that the one worthy of the United States title is Jericho as he now battles for it with Rollins.
This way, all players are still after belts and their rivalry can still have a new life, while intersecting with one another will still make sense. Rollins has affinity with Reigns, and Owens still has a partnership with Jericho.
They are currently four of the biggest stars in the RAW brand and it would be wise to try and change things up every once in a while. It would result in a bigger rivalry down the road for all parties.
