'WWE 2k17' release date news: Latest screenshots feature Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho

2K Sports has recently revealed the first screenshots of "WWE 2k17," and the first look on this highly anticipated video game confirms the new set of wrestling superstars joining the roster.

For the past few months, the details have been scarce regarding the confirmed names included in the new roster. This time, the fans are hyped up to see their favorite wrestlers joining the game, with superstars such as Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho joining the rumble.

The Smackdown Hotel released the early screenshots of "WWE 2k17," giving the fans the first look of fan-favorites such as Brock Lesnar, Brie Bella, Chris Jericho, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Nikki Bella in the video game. iDigital Times reported that IGN also released the first official images of "WWE 2k17," although it is unusual that The Smackdown Hotel seems to be the first to release the screenshots.

Some of the wrestling superstars revealed in the game screenshots were actually already confirmed or rumored to be a part of the new roster. As for Brock Lesnar, it was already confirmed by 2K Sports that the popular wrestling champ is in the new roster. Moreover, Lesnar will also be the cover athlete of the video game. Still, the screenshots also surprised the fans with the fresh look of the wrestlers in the game's latest edition. While not seen in the first screenshots, reports from last June's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 revealed that John Cena and Sasha Banks are confirmed to be included in the roster.

Aside from the latest "WWE 2k17" screenshots posted last Tuesday, 2K Sports also released a new trailer for the game, featuring all the exciting additions in the gameplay. Perhaps, the fans will need to feel the new action themselves as "WWE 2k17" debuts this Fall. The game will be released on October 11 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
