'Wrestlemania 31' News, Rumors: John Cena vs Hulk Hogan; The Rock to Return?

It has been a while since The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) was seen in the ring. That's why fans were quite surprised to see him in a segment in "Smackdown" during its 15th anniversary special.

The segment also showed a video of him and Triple H talking about who will win if they do battle in the ring.

Johnson then posted on Twitter: "@WWE @TripleH I'd still whup your candy a-- at Wrestlemania. #CheapB---ard (Had fun w/ ya homeboy;)"

This single tweet sparked online rumors of a possible match between the two in Wrestlemania 31, which is set on March 29 next year.

Meanwhile, rumors also have it that Hulk Hogan and Sting will be returning to the ring as well. This will be a "retirement" rematch, some people say.

Another retiree, Stone Cold Steve Austin, is also reported to be prepping up for a return.

Hogan may also face John Cena, but the latter has to go up against the other heavyweights before this could happen. A match with Cena would be an epic end to Hogan's wrestling career.

Both wrestlers are stars in their own rights. A match between them is expected to generate huge pay-per-view profits.

However, there are a number of risks. First, even if Hogan does pass a physical test, his health is incontestably a factor to consider on whether WWE will agree to such a match. Hogan can play it safe, but the fight would be boring. On the other hand, a fight that's "not too safe" may cause him serious injury.

The last thing fans and Hogan himself would want to happen in his last fight is a bitter ending and a painful injury.

Let's all just see whether WWE will make this dream fight a reality.
