'Wonder Woman' 'doesn't have narrative flow' and is 'very disjointed' says a DC insider

It is safe to say that the DC Extended Universe (DCEU0 did not get the kickstart that they would have wanted last year with both "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" having been highly fan-divisive. While both films were box-office hits, there were a lot of complaints regarding the films' respective stories and character developments. That being said, the budding franchise is looking at this year's "Wonder Woman" to get them back on the right track. Unfortunately, rumor has it that the Gal Gadot starrer is currently not in a good place, which puts a lot of doubt in the origins story.

During "SchmoesKnow Show" live YouTube Telecast two weeks ago, host Sasha Perl-Raver had tipped about the rumored chaos within the DC property, which had obviously dampened the spirits of die-hard Diana Prince fans.

"So, I don't want to throw anyone under the bus. We have somebody within our community who has gotten insider information that broke my [effing] heart this week, because I have tremendous belief that 'Wonder Woman' is gonna be awesome and I heard it stinks from the same person who told me that they heard that 'BvS' stinks," she said to the dismay of her co-hosts. From there, the show starts to discuss what the possibilities are especially when "Wonder Woman" is still a couple of months away. But it seems like the root cause of the problem is embedded in the story itself, which is a huge part of the waterloo of the previous DCEU releases.

"I'm very disappointed in what I saw, and it seems like all the problems are the same problems. It's discombobulated, it doesn't have narrative flow. It's just very disjointed," she added, quoting her source whom she understandably refused to name.

Last summer, Perl-Raver was actually pretty upset when news regarding "Suicide Squad" being a mess was tipped by another industry peer, Tom Dagnino, even calling him out in the "Schmoes Know Show." But it appears that the latter had sources of his own as the David Ayer film got mixed reactions from fans as well as critics. It was no secret that the anti-hero flick was rushed and then underwent massive reshoots. And while Warner Brothers would not say anything regarding it, word has it that the studio ordered the changes to match a lighter vibe.

So far, the trailers released for the Patty Jenkins film have been received tremendously well and it appears that they were able to finally nail the right tone for the character. Whether the film eventually pans out or not remains to be seen when "Wonder Woman" hits theaters on June 2.
