Wisc. Gov. Scott Walker Announces 2016 Presidential Bid

Wisconsin's Republican Governor Scott Walker announced on Monday that he will be joining over one dozen other GOP hopefuls in their 2016 race for the White House.
Walker made his announced during a campaign kickoff speech in Waukesha, near Milwaukee, on Monday morning.
The well-known governor made his announcement in both a Facebook post and a speech, arguing that his experience as governor of the Midwestern state makes him a viable candidate for the 206 election.
"I'm in. I'm running for President of the United States because Americans deserve a leader who will fight and win for them," Walker said in his Facebook post, which was accompanied by a video touting the governor's principles as "conservative, bold and decisive."
"We fought and won. In the Republican field, there are some who are good fighters, but they haven't won those battles. And there are others who've won elections, but haven't consistently taken on the big fights. We showed you can do both. Now, I am running for president to fight and win for the American people. Without sacrificing our principles, we won three elections in four years in a blue state. We did it by leading. Now, we need to do the same thing for America," Walker adds in the video.
The Wisconsin governor now joins a long list of Republican leaders hoping to win the GOP nomination in 2016, including New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and real estate Mogul Donald Trump, among others.
