Microsoft has been inundated with feedback from consumers who have sent more than 250,000 inquiries following the technical preview of Windows 10 last Oct.1.

At least 25,000 posts have also cropped up on the community forum for Windows 10. Microsoft has likewise received several hundred suggestions on Windows 10 from its website's Windows Suggestion Box.

All the suggestions, feedback and forum posts have resulted in Microsoft carrying out 7,000 bug fixes and other improvements to Windows 10 since the launch of the technical preview.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, Microsoft announced that the first update Build (number 9860) was ready and would include the Action Center.

Speaking about the build, Gabe Aul of Microsoft said the updates could happen quickly or they could be spaced farther apart. He said each one will bring significant improvements to Windows 10.

Slash Gear notes the Action Center in the first build will only be able to show basic notifications. Users with multiple monitors will benefit from the build as they will now be able to shift an active app to another monitor using the Win + Shift + arrow key. Also when switching desktops, users will be able to see animation that will visually alert them to the process.

Aul also admitted that some of the initial bugs will remain. Worse, Build 9860 could bring problems of its own. Slash Gear notes that after the update was installed, some users complained of broken Solitaire games, computer sleep mode that's not working properly and problematic undocking of monitors.

The Fuse Joplin notes that Windows 10 technical preview users have a list of requests for Microsoft, as they want to be able to move the task view and search buttons. Currently these buttons are fixed near the Windows flag.
