In the final hours of the fourth season's finale, viewers have learned quite painfully that Danielle Cormack's Bea Smith has portrayed her last appearance on SoHo's prison drama series "Wentworth," much to fans' dismay. Now, a new, vital theory has emerged indicating that Smith may still be revived in the upcoming installment.

This wild theory is not just a figment of fans' imagination. This goes all the way back to its original series in which Smith has lived until her old age. "Wentworth's" plot and storylines are generated from the 1979 series "Prisoner: Cell Block H." However, the 2013 show has notably added some characters to it.

In "Prisoner," Bea Smith was an inmate at Wentworth Correctional Facility right until she was given the Top Dog position. The source material never showed how she died or if she was actually killed accordingly. In a seemingly open-ended plotline, Smith was portrayed to have died off-screen. Her "death" has infamously followed the demise of lead star Val Lehman, who portrayed Smith back then.

If the plot of the upcoming season will be based on this, then it is highly likely that Bea Smith might be brought back. Smith could be played out as "still alive" and be brought back to jail.

Meanwhile, a couple who happened to be true-blue fans of the show threw in their belief that the show's season 5 will follow the "Prisoner: Cell Block H" speculation and that they are both hopeful that Smith will very well be reprising her role.

The fifth season of "Wentworth" has already been greenlit. Cormack tweeted, dated July 19, 2016, "SO MUCH NEWS [rose icon] An amazing/insightful trip so far with @ChildFundAU and Season 5 #Wentworth confirmed! OH YES! #goodnews #feelingblessed."
