Ubisoft released its open-world action game "Watch Dogs 2" last Tuesday, Nov. 15. Unfortunately, the developer was forced to disable its multiplayer mode one day before release as a feature is reportedly dysfunctional.

The removal of multiplayer mode during the game's launch disappointed many players, and it seems Ubisoft is not addressing the issue anytime soon as a new patch update doesn't include fixes to its multiplayer mode.

On Friday, Nov. 18, Ubisoft issued patch update 1.04 to fix a few issues that involve several bugs and glitches in-game, as well as graphic-related issues. The developer, however, noted that they are still focusing on the seamless online issue, pertaining to its multiplayer mode.

In a blog post, Ubisoft says, "Overnight we are pushing Title Update 1.04 to the live environment to fix a few known issues that have been identified since launch," adding that "This patch does not include a fix to the seamless online issue that we are currently focusing on, more info will be available on that soon."

The patch update's graphic fixes are mostly addressing the problems encountered by players using the new PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro), which sports a 4K display and high dynamic range (HDR) view.

"Watch Dogs 2" is already available for PS4 and Xbox One, but its PC version is not expected until Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The game revolves around a group of hackers named "DedSec," set in a fictional town in San Francisco City. The characters are into a thing called "hacktivism" — a word derived from the combination of "hacking" and "activism."

Developers reportedly consulted real-world hackers to validate scripts and codes and create authenticity within the game. In addition, the game has well-developed characters and storylines that are inspired by the hacker culture.

The first installment of "Watch Dogs" was released in 2014 and sold 4 million copies in just two weeks of release.
