'Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers and Recap of Episode 3: Cannibals And Gruesome Deaths
Two main characters of "The Walking Dead" – Bob (played by Lawrence Gilliard, Jr.) and Gareth (Andrew J. West) – are dead, permanently leaving the show since its fifth season premiered three weeks ago. "The Walking Dead" airs on AMC at 9/8c every Sunday.
In the second episode titled "Strangers," Bob was kidnapped by Gareth and his gang of "hunters" who proceeded to cut his leg off and eat it.

Meanwhile, Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) followed a car that was last seen kidnapping Beth (Emily Kinney).
Last Sunday's third episode titled "Four Walls And A Roof" opened with Bob waking up to find his leg missing. Gareth then informed him that he will eat Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his gang, too. Bob then informed Gareth the he was previously bitten by a walker and that his leg is "tainted meat."
Gareth and the hunters then knocked Bob out and left him in front of the church where Rick and his gang were staying.
After Bob revealed what Gareth and his gang did to him, Rick vowed revenge. He got his revenge that very night when the Terminians attacked and Rick hacked Gareth to death using his machete. Rick's followers killed the rest of Gareth's gang members.
The next day Bob died from his wounds. Some members of his gang headed towards Washington in a repaired bus, while Rick and others remained in the church.
Daryl returned soon after with someone mysterious in tow.
In the next episode titled "Slabtown," Beth's fate since her kidnapping will be explored. The promo clip for the episode shows her being held in a hospital and dressed in a hospital gown. However, Beth does not seem to trust the people who are holding her as she is seen picking up a scalpel to protect herself.
