Walking Dead Season 5 Recap, Spoilers: Escape From Terminus

The season premiere of The Walking Dead titled "No Sanctuary" gave viewers a good idea of what Terminus was all about. It started with a flashback in which Terminans were seen imprisoned in a train car as people in their group were killed or raped outside. The Terminans, including Gareth and his mother Mary, then escape and retake Terminus, from the people they offered sanctuary to and ended up imprisoning them. They then resolve not to offer sanctuary anymore and to "Never again. Never trust. We first, always."
This forms the intense backdrop to the current happenings at Terminus which sees Rick and his gang of survivors being tear gassed in the train car, after which Rick, Glenn, Bob and Daryl are taken out to be slaughtered. This is when Rick and the others learn that the Terminans are cannibals, who pretend to offer sanctuary but end up killing and eating those who arrive.
Carol turns out to be the savior as she arrives camouflaged as a walker along with a herd. She is as the Wall Street Journal described "post-zombie apocalypse Rambo and Dirty Harry combined".
She then proceeds to let the walkers into Terminus, and blows up a gas tank. Using this distraction Rick and the others escape, and rescue the others in the train cars. During the last part of the episode there is reunion, and Rick welcomes Carol back to the group and they finally meet Tyresse and baby Judith.
The second episode titled "Strangers" will see the group on the road again and Rick leading a supply run during which they encounter walkers in water. Wetpaint is also reporting that a new series regular, Seth Gilliam, will be seen in the upcoming episode. He plays Father Gabriel Stokes, and it appears that the survivors will also go to his church in the third episode.
