The second half of "Vikings" season 4 finally has a premiere date, with the historical drama set to return later in November in a new timeslot.

History's gripping tale of revenge and drama continues on Nov. 30, leading the program to its new Wednesday-nights-at-9 timeslot. The series left off with Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) after he was defeated by his brother Rollo (Clive Standen) in a monumental battle in Paris. Due to his humiliating loss, Ragnar decided to disappear from everyone he knows. The last moments of the show's midseason finale then took a huge time jump, giving viewers a glimpse of a new era in the characters' lives.

When the series returns, Ragnar will reappear in Kattegat, but his arrival will trigger a chain of unfortunate events which no one, except the Seer, could have anticipated. He surprisingly returns home to find out what his sons have been up to and handle some unfinished business with King Ecbert (Linus Roache) in Wessex.

Meanwhile, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) begins plotting a power play in Kattegat as Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) prepares to achieve his long-time dream of exploring the Mediterranean. He will be using a sleek new boat built specially for him by Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård).

"This season is monumental and unlike anything we've ever done," series creator and writer Michael Hirst said in a press statement about the "Vikings" season 4 premiere. "We've propelled 'Vikings' to the topmost level of historical drama as we follow storylines inspired by real life events such as Bjorn Ironside sailing through the Mediterranean and Ivar the Boneless becoming the most feared warrior of all time. It's not a story of one man, but a saga of Ragnar and his sons."

Production for the fifth season is in full swing, with the cast and crew currently filming in Ireland. Details on the upcoming installment have yet to be revealed, but stars recently shared behind-the-scenes images via social media. Through an Instagram post, Winnick showed a clip of the season 5 cast while on set.
