Video journalist asks Californians to sign fake petition to install urinals in women's bathrooms for transgender people

Video journalist Mark Dice went around California asking people to sign a petition to put urinals in women's bathrooms in order to accommodate transgender people.
The petition, of course, was fake.
Dice talked to men and women on the street, explaining to them that having urinals in the women's bathroom will help transgender people use the women's facilities properly, considering they still have male biological organs.
Having urinals will help stop them from feeling they're not welcome in the women's bathroom, Dice explained. He received varied reactions.
"We'll be adding urinals into the women's bathroom just to accommodate the trans people," he said in the YouTube video featured on his channel's weekly "Man on the Street Monday."
The first person he approached, a man, looked irritated and walked away. Other men who did not like the idea just ignored him and walked away.
Several men did sign the fake petition.
"Makes sense... I think everyone should just use the same bathrooms," one of them said.
However, most of the positive responses he got came from women, who even encouraged him to "keep up the good work."
"I understand. Equal rights," one woman said.
"I support trans people," another woman remarked.
"Oh yeah, I'll sign for that," another one said.
Dice told those who signed that the petition is backed by the U.S. president.
"President Obama is now on board with this, and we're gonna go nationwide, starting in California," Dice said, adding that the target is to install at least one urinal per women's bathroom.
At the end of the video, Dice concluded that most of those who agreed to sign the petition were women, while those who didn't agree refused to argue but simply walked away.
"Nobody has argued with me, telling me that this is a lunatic and an insane idea," Dice said in the video. "As you can see, a dozen people want the idea, many of them women. This country has gone completely insane."
The transgender bathroom issue has been debated on for years, but it was recently sparked by the passing of North Carolina's House Bill 2 in March, which requires transgender people to use bathrooms that match their biological sex.
The issue became even more controversial with the federal government's directive that states public schools must allow transgender students into the women's bathrooms and locker rooms.
Some LGBT activists are saying the transgender bathroom controversy could have been one of the issues that drove the recent Orlando shooting, according to Breitbart News.
