'UnReal' season 3 air date, spoilers, news: Series to feature female suitor, new character descriptions revealed

The Everlasting mansion will soon be inhabited by new faces, and the upcoming season of "UnReal" will be switching its style up again.
Lifetime's hit drama will be changing things up for season 3, as it was recently confirmed that the series will feature a female suitor when the show returns. Stars Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer revealed the news last Tuesday via Facebook Live.
In a recent interview, Appleby expressed her excitement over the program's format tweak. "We're so excited and looking forward to it," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think it will be great to add another strong female to the mix, someone to really battle with Quinn and Rachel. And then, put them in an environment with all of these men and see how they react."
Aside from the female suitor, new details on the male contestants competing for her heart were also revealed. TV Line reports that one of the men who'll try to woo Serena is named August: a professional surfer who left the sport to focus on environmental causes. Although he is dubbed as the perfect male candidate on the dating show, his statements and his actions don't always match up.
Also joining the dating competition is Owen, an attractive firefighter and Army veteran. He is a single dad to a 6-year-old daughter and a good guy for the most part. However, his temper brought by incidents from his past might become problematic for everyone on the program. Additionally, a character named Alexi will join the cast. His quirks remain to be seen, but he is described as a professional ballet dancer who is very sophisticated.
A contestant Jasper will also join the guys, and he is a Wall Street investment banker who is well aware of his good looks. Despite his cocky attitude, he really wants to find love with the right woman and eventually settle down.
The third season of "UnReal" is expected to premiere June 2017 on Lifetime.
