'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' news 2016: Naughty Dog teases new 'Plunder' multiplayer mode

Naughty Dog's anticipated video game release, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," will be having a new multiplayer mode called "Plunder." Those who will attend the upcoming PAX East 2016 event will have the opportunity to experience the latest addition to the "Uncharted 4" game.
Naughty Dog lead game designer Robert Cogburn has stated in PlayStation's official blog that the new multiplayer mode is similar to the "Capture the Flag" type of game mode. However, the "Plunder" mode has its own special twist being in the "Uncharted" game, where the characters are allowed to throw the flag or the idol. Proper coordination and teamwork will also be required from the players for them to win a match, especially that they will focus on capturing the idol and bringing it back to their home base's treasure chest.
There are also a few tweaks implemented to the old "Uncharted" titles as revealed by the video game studio. Those who are familiar with the classic "Plunder" game mode in the previous "Uncharted" video games can relate to the new game mode where the players can enjoy the adventure of travelling with the idol. This is now made possible as Naughty Dog has already removed the constraint. Plunder mode for the older "Uncharted" titles will now become a team versus team match with each group consisting of four players instead of five.
The new game mode for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" can be played on three different maps, namely the Island, Madagascar City and Rooftops. Those who have the beta test version of the game will be familiar with the new maps, including those who have participated in the multiplayer stress test.
Attendees of PAX East 2016 in the coming weekend will enjoy the event even more as they will be among the first players to experience the new features of the game. Those who are not going to make it in the said event can still try out the new game mode with "Uncharted 4" beta version and multiplayer stress test coming in the near future, according to Gamespot.
Aside from the "Plunder" game mode, Cogburn has teased that there will be more details to be revealed during the event. The new multiplayer game mode is just one of the game features to be showcased. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will arrive on May 10 and it will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4.
