'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' news: Season 3 production to be pushed back?

Since the full second season of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" has been released last week by Netflix, fans are already itching to know when the third season will premiere. Unfortunately, production might be pushed back further due to lead actress Ellie Kemper's pregnancy. Series co-creator Tina Fey will also be busy doing a "Mean Girls" musical, which she will be working on this year. "We're working on the musical adaptation, and thanks to Ellie Kemper's pregnancy, we have this whole summer to work on it," Fey said via Deadline during the Tribeca Film Festival Q & A.
The well-known comedienne also discussed the show's production time frame, which will not be the same for season 3. "Normally we would start [writing 'Kimmy Schmidt'] in June. But this year we'll be starting in August and we'll start shooting in November. And we'll be ready to come back with season three by the end of next May," she said.
Season 2 left viewers with a lot of loose ends in the plot. Viewers got to know more about Kimmy Schmidt's (Ellie Kemper) identity, as she finally found her mom (Lisa Kudrow). She also moved in with her friends Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski), Titus (Tituss Burgess) and Lillian (Carol Kane). Just when everything seemed fine in Kimmy's life, she received a call from the reverend (Jon Hamm). In an interview with E! Online, Kemper shared her thoughts about the show, saying, "I feel like there are unfinished stories at the end of season 2." This might mean that season 3 will tie up some loose ends from the past season.
Burgess was also present in the said interview where he was careful to give out too much details. "More of what Tina and Robert want the world to see," Burgess said, summing up the whole season 3.
"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" seasons 1 and 2 are now available for streaming via Netflix.
