Ukraine Christians receive training to equip them for ministry, sharing God's Word
Christians in war-torn Ukraine received training that will enable them to share God's Word for the healing of those deeply affected by the chaos.
Workers from Slavic Gospel Association went to Ukraine and conducted Biblical Training and Biblical Counseling workshops to help local leaders and other church members minister to the people around them using principles from the Bible.

Ukrainians have suffered from fear and uncertainty about the future. Sleeping to the sound of ongoing battle at night, they wonder what the future holds. Some are still hurting and traumatized from the loss of loved ones.
On top of these, the lack of food supply and other resources is taking a toll on the people.
"It's just heartbreaking to see many people displaced, discouraged, fearful in the middle of the combat," Eric Mock, Slavic Gospel Association's vice president for ministry operations, said.
For this reason, Mock and his team sought to empower the local church leaders on how to share the Word of God, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, in such a way that the heartbroken and destitute will find God's comfort and peace in it.
Mock said it is important to know that God's Word is "sufficient and able to address the issues of life and move us from unbelief and hopelessness into comfort and peace."
Their trainings have gotten good results. People in the midst of difficult circumstances are ministered to by the truths of the Bible, Mock said. He also shared that they are hoping many of the people will give their lives to Christ in such trying times.
Furthermore, those who have attended the trainings are able to train other people in their own churches.
Last month, churches from all over Ukraine came together for a day of prayer for their nation. The National Day of Prayer was held on June 18 at the National Sports Palace in Kiev.
The event, which was the first ever gathering of churches in the country, was attended by representatives from the Catholic Church, Pentecostal Unions, Baptist Union, the Messianic Congregation, Charismatic and Independent Unions and even Ukrainian and Russian Orthodox churches, according to Cross Map.
The people worshiped together and prayed for the peace in Ukraine. They also prayed for the rebuilding of their nation.
