Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege" has been a massive hit among the players who are fans of first-person shooter video games. Following the success of "Rainbow Six Siege," Ubisoft has arranged a series of major content updates to be released this year.

As the very first add-on to "Rainbow Six Siege" called the "Operation Black Ice" was well-received by the players, Ubisoft has prepared a total of three more DLCs that are all expected to hit the gaming world this year. The first of the 3 add-ons is said to be a US-based DLC with a release date expected before the end of 2016's second quarter. Overall, this US-based DLC is the second add-on to be released by Ubisoft for the game this year.

The second "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC is Brazil-themed and will be released by the third quarter of 2016, while the third DLC which is expected to be the last add-on to the game this year is Japan-themed and can be expected by the fourth quarter. Regarding the major features of the upcoming DLC's, Ubisoft has yet to reveal what the players to expect on these expansion sets.

"Operation Black Ice" was released during the early days of February that includes 2 additional operator characters, new guns and artilleries, and new weapon skins. It also featured a new map set on a yacht to be checked out by the players, along with a free update on the gaming view that featured a spectator camera. The add-on was set in the cold water territory of Canada.

"Rainbow Six Siege" is playable on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. The game, considered as a "spiritual" successor of the defunct "Rainbow 6: Patriots," is unlike the other video games with Tom Clancy label having a game campaign mode. The gameplay focuses mainly on the destruction of the environment due to man-made occurrences and the group cooperation among the players. "Rainbow Six Siege" has several missions that are dubbed as "situations" and an online gaming mode.
