There are no official reports that confirm the exact release date of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, although Crossmap reported that fans of the hit anime TV series have known for some time that the third season is planned to be released anytime this year. In spite of this information, there are rumors and speculations spreading over the internet regarding the show's return, with the soundest rumor stating that Season 3 is set to premiere this summer.

Studio Pierrot and FUNimation, the studios behind "Tokyo Ghoul," have not said anything about the show's third season. As there are no official announcements from the studio, fans have begun paying attention to rumors and speculations online with one initial report claiming that "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 would have a winter 2015-2016 scheduled release. As winter had passed, there was still no "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3. The rumored release was bumped to spring 2016 and the most recent claim is going for a summer 2016 release.

Fans have also wondered what will happen in the storyline of the upcoming third season. If rumors are to be believed, there are 2 possible scenarios that the studio would have to consider to make "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3. The first scenario is to follow the source material, which is the manga series of the same name, but they could be ahead of the manga which is currently at 60 chapters, which would ultimately result in deviation from the source material, just like what happened in Season 2.

According to a report from Fandom Post, the English version of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 2 trailer is already out. The Bit Bag reported the price of the Season 2 English version copy to be at $64.98 and is available in DVD and BD combo. The DVD/BD copy has a total of 12 episodes for Season 2 and it also contains special features and other extra footages.
