'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 release date news: Production team has not started the third season yet?

With reports circulating all over the internet that the popular Japanese anime series, "Tokyo Ghoul, is not coming back until March of next year, many fans expressed their frustrations on different online forums. Nonetheless, some of them are excited and could not wait to get a hold of the third season.
It has been quite some time since the last season of the "Tokyo Ghoul" has ended. Series followers have been waiting since last year for the follow-up season to come out. According to a report by Christian Times, the production team is said to be having issues while trying to come up with new ideas and materials for season three. Fans are a little worried after reports suggest that the company has not even started with the pre-production as of the moment.
The production company, Pierrot, and series publisher, Funimation, are being criticized by many fans of the series after they failed to create an immediate follow-up of the last season, which ended in March 2015. The production team was called by many several followers of the series to just make a reboot of the show for the upcoming season 3.
People are already aware that the TV show did not follow the original manga series, so it doesn't matter if they create their own storyline for the third season and not wait for "Tokyo Ghoul," manga creator, Sui Ishida.
However, in a report by Anime Haru, Bob, the series' writer, said that the team would want to make sure they stay true to the roots on the upcoming third season.
"This is perhaps the most disillusioning, psychological and darkest plot line that we will attempt to adapt," Bob said. "We hope to remain as faithful as possible to the source material, although we cannot guarantee that more gory scenes such as Touka's standardized exam test-taking will not be censored."
As of now, all fans can do is wait for the production company to provide an official statement with regard to the development of the third season.
