In the past few weeks, numerous actors have been named as cast members of the forthcoming Marvel film "Thor: Ragnarok." Joining Chris Hemsworkth's titular character are Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, and Sam Neill.

Blanchett will portray the first female villain in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, Hela. Thompson will be playing a Valkyrie heroine. Goldblum will be The Grandmaster, which is also known as an Elder. Meanwhile, Urban will be portraying Skurge the Executioner.

The forthcoming "Thor" film will have a mini "Jurassic Park" reunion. Sam Neill, who portrayed Dr. Alan Grant in the first "Jurassic Park" film, will be joining Goldblum in "Thor: Ragnarok." Goldblum portrayed mathematician Ian Malcolm in Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster hit. Neill worked with "Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi on "Hunt for the Wilderpeople."

The new additions to the franchise will be joined by the regulars. Tom Hiddleston will be reprising his role as Loki in the forthcoming installment of the franchise. Anthony Hopkins will once again portray the King of Asgard, father of Thor and adoptive father of Loki, Odin. Meanwhile, Idris Elba will be returning as the all-seeing, all-hearing guard, Heimdall.

Hiddleston was recently interviewed by Benedict Cumberbatch, who will portray the lead character in the upcoming Marvel film "Doctor Strange," for Interview Magazine. When asked about how it felt to be back as Loki, Hiddleston said, "The best thing about it, honestly, is working with Chris again. I first met him in Kenneth Branagh's house in England in 2009. We were mere children, in the very beginning of our acting journeys. We made an instant connection, and it's been extraordinary to share the ride with him—this mad journey with Marvel."

The actors of the film have managed to keep their lips shut about the storyline. However, sources say that the plot might be following the comic book "Planet Hulk." Rumors suggest that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will be joining the son of Odin in his quest.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is expected to launch on Nov. 3, 2017.
