More secrets about the family will be unraveled in the upcoming episode of NBC's rookie drama "This is Us."

Titled "The Game Plan," the episode airing next week will reveal new details about the family's past. According to the official synopsis, Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) opposing views leads to an argument about starting a family. Also, the reason behind the family's long line of admiration for the Pittsburg Steelers is unveiled. After finally accepting a part in a play, Kevin (Justin Hartley) discovers that his script is actually relevant to his own life. Meanwhile, Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) encounter an issue they never expected to happen."

In the previous episode titled "The Pool," Kevin made the next step in pursuing his dreams to make it big on broadway. While auditioning for a play, he met Olivia (Janet Montgomery), an actress who doesn't seem to be impressed by him. Thanks to his acting stint in "The Manny," Kevin eventually got the part despite his messy audition. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Dan Fogelman recently teased what's in store for Kevin and his new female friend.

"Kevin is in way over his head right now, and the next few episodes are really going to be exploring that. Olivia becomes a really big part of his story," he hinted. "She's both the most appealing and the scariest woman to possibly enter someone's life in Kevin's position right now, so there's huge fireworks. But also you can't quite trust anything she's doing because for her art comes first always."

The episode also explored Kate's (Chrissy Metz) insecurities with her body since she was young. According to Fogelman, viewers should expect her adolescent journey to get rocky. The creator also pointed out that aside from body issues, Kate is also struggling with self-belief and self-worth."...There's something very special about the bond between Kate and Jack that's really, really defining for her, and it becomes a huge part of Kate's story and journey as we move forward," he said.

The first season of "This is Us" airs every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
