It's all about the Pearson kids' careers in the upcoming episode of NBC's rookie family drama "This is Us" season 1.

Titled "Career Day," next week's episode will further explore the career paths of Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) kids. According to the official synopsis for episode 6, Kate (Chrissy Metz) gets interviewed for a new job that seems too good to be true. She eventually realizes that the offer comes with a catch. Meanwhile, Randall (Sterling K. Brown) begins doubting his career and wonders if he really followed the right path. Kevin (Justin Hartley) and his newfound friend Olivia (Janet Montgomery) takes their relationship to a new direction, while Rebecca and Jack are in conflict on what to do next after Randall tests as a gifted child.

This week's episode titled "The Game Plan" showed a sad revelation when it was revealed that Jack is already dead in the present time and he is actually in an urn on Kate's mantelpiece. The episode also featured the future with the passing of Randall's biological father William (Ron Cephas Jones), which didn't come as a shock since the earlier episodes have already established that he is terminally ill.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jones admitted that he still doesn't know when his character will be killed off. '"William could be dead tomorrow. (Laughs) It's like the scene where he tells the kids, 'Well, I wouldn't get too attached...' He thinks it's funny, but it's actually kind of horrifying to say that to the kids, but that's how Kevin talks, you know? The monologue is based on Kevin's story about the kids and the fact that sooner or later, things happen. So you don't really know if that's five years down the road," he explained.
