The much-awaited second expansion titled "Blood and Wine," which was announced last year, is expected to be available in the market this year.

At this time, the game developer has not made any official announcement yet regarding the specifics of the release and the gameplay details. The addition of the new expansion to "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" also suggests that "The Witcher 4" may not happen anytime soon.

A report from Yibada stated that the game writer Karolina Stachyra apparently told RedBull that the plan was to end the series with "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." She said that the company's story of Geralt will certainly end and the possibility of the plot to be changed is out of the question. However, fans might have to wait for "Blood and Wine" to know more about Geralt's future.

Meanwhile, according to reports, new weapons and armors are amongst the new items that will be added to "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." Reports also said that there is a level requirement for the expansion. Players are required to be at level 40 before they have the opportunity to experience the "Blood and Wine" DLC.

New monsters are also said to be added in the expansion such as Bruxas, Stringas and Manticores. Geralt's love story will also have an interesting twist in "Blood and Wine" as Fringello Vigo is said to be returning to the newest DLC.

According to Twinfinite, the series has already sold 20 million copies. With the much anticipated release of the new expansion, CD Projekt Red is definitely enjoying the success of the franchise.
