'The Walking Dead' Season 7 update, rumors, spoilers: Daryl Dixon alive, Glen Rhee ends up dead?

The latest rumors for the seventh season of AMC's "The Walking Dead" suggest that Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) has actually survived Negan's (Joseph Dean Morgan) wrath from the gut-wrenching Season 6 finale, amid the rumors that the character was the one who was mercilessly hit by Negan with a spiked baseball bat. Unfortunately for the fans of Steven Yeun's character, Glen Rhee, there are signs that he was the unfortunate victim of the fearsome Saviors leader.

There are now additional proofs that Daryl was not the one killed by Negan last season. In fact, according to the show's official spoiler site, The Spoiling Dead Fans, Daryl was seen on set with a new costume that is different from the clothes that he typically wears for the past six seasons. Also, there is another photo of Daryl together with "The Walking Dead" lead protagonist Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). These recent sightings of Reedus as Daryl in the shooting locations for Season 7 are nothing but an indication of his character's continuing journey in the hit AMC TV series.

To recap, the Alexandrian team led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) was finally captured by the Saviors. Rick was aiming to eliminate the Saviors as he worries that the huge group of heavily-armed individuals would cause great trouble for the Alexandrians in the future. However, his worries soon materialized as they were captured by its members and finally came face to face with the fearsome leader of the Saviors, Negan.

To punish Rick and his group for their "misdeeds," Negan decided to kill only one of the Alexandrians in exchange for those Saviors that Rick's men have killed. The final scene showed Negan beating a person mercilessly with a spiked baseball bat that he named "Lucille." However, the scene was shot in a way that the viewers would know who the unfortunate victim is.

If Daryl was not the one killed by Negan, this could mean that the series may be following the original storyline of "The Walking Dead" comic book, where Glen Rhee was the one beaten to death by Negan. Sadly, there are indications that Steven Yeun's character will no longer be seen alive next season.

In fact, another update from The Spoiling Dead has revealed a list of the names of all the cast members that were seen filming the third episode of Season 7, and the list does not include Yeun. Aside from Lincoln and Reedus, the supposed survivors include Melissa McBride, Michael Cudlitz, Lennie James, Danai Gurira, Corey Hawkins and Ross Marquand. Unfortunately for Glenn's fans, the absence of Yeun on set raises the speculations that his character was the one killed by Negan.
