'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers: Norman Reedus says the world will 'explode' when new season airs

The much-hyped season 6 finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead" ("TWD") ended on a major cliffhanger, leaving many fans to wait and speculate for months about who it was that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed off in the heart-stopping season ender.
While many fans were shocked, dismayed, and downright outraged, "TWD" star Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, shared that the dangling cliffhanger and the months-long wait will be worth it when the new season premieres in October.
In an interview on Entertainment Weekly Radio on Thursday, May 26, Reedus, who is currently filming season 7 with his "TWD" castmates in Atlanta, Georgia, said that fans will be rewarded for the long wait when season 7 debuts.
"Trust me," the actor said, adding, "I think probably the planet is going to explode. That's my feeling. It's so good. Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what's going to come, we all say 'Oh my God, it's amazing. I can't wait for you to see it.' But it continually surprises me how this show grows and is put together and the execution of it – no pun intended. It blows my mind."
"This is the highest plateau we've ever been," he gushed. "So just wait. It's worth the wait, trust me," he appended.
The "TWD" star also spoke about just how many times he has been asked about who died in the season 6 finale. "Probably about a zillion times," he said.
Meanwhile, Reedus and his "TWD" co-star Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick on the show, recently came up with an incredible spoof for Thursday's "Red Nose Day" show.
In the video, the two "TWD" actors talk about recruiting their castmates Steven Yeun, Josh McDermitt, David Morrissey, Melissa McBride, Ross Marquand, and Christian Serratos as well as special guest stars Dax Shepard, Chris Hardwick, Jeff Goldblum, and Yvette-Nicole Brown for a remake of the 1978 "Star Wars Holiday Special."
