'The Walking Dead' Season 7 news, updates, rumors: Cast members already know who Negan killed last season

Fresh from the shocking finale of Season 6, the new chapter of AMC's "The Walking Dead" is expected to feature a big revelation regarding the fate of the remaining survivors led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Specifically, the seventh season of the highly successful zombie apocalypse TV series will finally reveal who among Rick's group fell victim to the deadly spiked baseball bat of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
To recap, the finale episode of Season 6 introduced the leader of the vicious Saviors named Negan, and he was not happy about the killing spree of the Alexandrians on his camp. To punish the group for what they have done, Negan decided to choose only one of them to pay for their "sins." Finally, Negan mercilessly hit a person with a baseball bat that he named "Lucille." However, the scene was shot in a way that viewers do not know which of the characters bore the brunt of Negan's wrath.
According to Den of Geek, the cliffhanger scene at the end of Season 6 will finally be cleared up as "The Walking Dead" returns for a new season. There are a lot of speculations among the fans regarding the unfortunate character that Negan killed. If the TV series will stay true to its origin comic book, the person who will bid farewell in Season 7 is Glenn (Steven Yeun). In the comics, Glenn was continuously hit by Negan in the head until his skull is completely squashed. However, there are a number of times when the series did not follow the contents of the comics. For example, Rick's hand was cut off by the Governor in the comics, which did not happen in the TV version.
While the viewers have no clue who was killed in the cliffhanger scene, the actors on the set may already know who that person may be. Season 5 cast member Tyler James Williams revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he knows what happened during the big Negan scene, although he did not disclose the name of the character that was killed.
"We all still speak and they kind of keep me up to date and stuff on what's going on and all of that... You have to understand showrunner Scott M. Gimple knows everything seasons and seasons out, so people knew, but we can't say anything. No one can say anything. So it's actually better to say that we don't know," the actor said.
Yibada also noted Norman Reedus who plays the role of Daryl saying that he knew what transpired during the bloody scene.
"Cliffhangers have been happening since the beginning of entertainment, so they make sense. I know what happens and it's gut-wrenching to me."
