The sixth season of AMC Network's "The Walking Dead" ended with a brutal cliff-hanger. Since then, the members of the cast faced countless questions regarding the fate of the show's beloved characters.

To recap, the Saviors, a gang that thrives on extortion, rounded up the main cast to strike back and avenge the deaths of their group's fallen members. Towards the end of the season finale, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the leader of the Saviors, was about to choose someone to kill. But season 6 closed just before the victim was revealed.

The rest of the main characters would be released but for a price. Negan wanted the community to work for them as well. Once freed, the community of Alexandria will have to give half of their resources to the Saviors.

Michael Cudlitz, who portrays Sgt. Abraham Ford, in "The Walking Dead" recently told The Independent in an interview that "true fans don't want to know who Negan killed." The actor said people would like to ask but they would be devastated to get a definite answer.

Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the show, admitted that he struggled to go through airport security without being nagged about who Negan had killed.

"Every time they are checking my belt going through the security, everybody's going, please tell me. Just tell me. Just whisper, who is it? Is it you? Why are you in England at the moment? What are you doing here? Why are you not working or filming?" the actor told Entertainment Weekly.

Fans got even antsier after the show released the 50-second trailer for the forthcoming season. The trailer revealed that Savior member Dwight (Austin Amelio) had Daryl Dixon's (Norman Reedus) iconic jacket and motorcycle. Does this signify the end of the beloved character?

Fans will get their answer on the seventh season of "The Walking Dead" which will return on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9 p.m. EDT.
