Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the characters return home in the upcoming episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 7.

Titled "Service," next week's episode will feature the group's return to Alexandria. The plot will still center on those who survived Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) attack but this time, it will be over an extended period because the episode will reportedly span 90 minutes instead of the usual 60.

To give viewers an idea on what's to come, the official synopsis for episode 4 reads:

"The remaining members of the group try to keep it together in Alexandria; they receive a sobering visit."

After spending the past few episodes kneeling in the woods, traveling to the Kingdom, and trapped inside the Saviors' camp, the remaining members of Rick's group are finally preparing to return to Alexandria. It should be a surprise to the Alexandrians when Rick returns defeated after the brutal death of  Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz).

In the latest trailer released by AMC, Rick can be seen holding a town meeting in the church as he explains their new arrangement with the Saviors and Negan. Since most survivors have never seen Rick in a point of weakness, viewers should look forward to how they will react to his news.

Although the series is just heading to its fourth episode, the cast are already close to wrapping up this season's filming. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, actor Norman Reedus shared his thoughts on how season 7 continues to take shape.

"It's been a very emotional season for everybody. It's a different season," he said. "I mean, we saw last week there's some fun things, but it's also very serious, and then it's a very dark, dark season, and hopefully there is light at the end of that tunnel. You have to be broken way down to be able to go way up, and I think that's kind of what this season is about."

Tune in to "The Walking Dead" season 7 every Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
