'The Walking Dead' season 7 episode 3 spoilers, news: Negan goes back to the Sanctuary with Daryl, is AMC planning a Negan spinoff series?

Viewers will get a closer look at the inner workings of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) community in the upcoming episode of AMC's hit zombie drama "The Walking Dead" season 7.
Titled "The Cell," the synopsis for the third episode of season 7 reads: "A new group of survivors seem to have it all in their impressive community; however, there is a price."Although the synopsis doesn't give much details, it is safe to assume that the group of survivors in reference are the distressed members of Negan's group. Known as the Saviors, the people in his community are subject to Negan's oppression and are forced to serve him in exchange for protection from any harm.
Last week's episode titled "The Well" did not include any of the characters in the premiere's infamous killing scene, which means "The Cell" will pick up after Negan's brutal introduction. However, Comicbook.com notes that viewers should expect to see Rick, Carl, Michonne, Aaron, Maggie or Father Gabriel in the upcoming episode. Instead, episode 3 will center on Negan as he goes back to the Sanctuary with Daryl.
Viewers have only just met Negan this season, but readers of "The Walking Dead" comic books have already known him since made his comic debut four years ago. Back in April, a 48-page story focusing on Negan's backstory was released by Image Comics, leading fans to wonder if AMC plans on doing a spinoff series for the villainous character as well.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Robert Kirkman said they haven't really thought about it yet. "That story works best when Negan has been around for many years. I'm not going to go on record to say that Negan lasts as long in the show as he does in the comic. You never know. But if we do get to that point, it'd be nice to see that story adapted... It'd be neat but there are no plans as of yet."
Keep tuning in to "The Walking Dead" season 7 airing every Sunday night at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
