'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Episode Spoilers, Recap: Carol And Daryl Team Up To Rescue Beth
The recent episode of "The Walking Dead" titled "Consumed" saw Daryl Dixon(Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) trying to find where Beth is being held. The series airs every Sunday at 9/8c on AMC.
The episode explained what happened to Carol after Rick (Andrew Lincoln) asked her to leave the prison group. Carol is first seen crying in the car after she leaves and then takes refuge in a law office which she seems to be familiar with. She lives in it until she sees smoke in the distance and goes to investigate, where she learns that the prison has been destroyed.
Then the action brings viewers back to the present where Carol and Daryl are tracking the car that was used to kidnap Beth in the fourth season. As they reach Atlanta the car stalls and they make their way to a government building which Carol seems to be familiar with. It is soon revealed to be a place where Carol took refuge along with her daughter after her former husband abused her.
This leads to them spending time in the building and ultimately shifting to another building where they manage to spot a van with a cross precariously dangling over an elevated highway. But before they can reach the van, Noah (Tyler James Williams) decamps with their weapons as they are passing through a narrow opening in a door.
As they are chased by walkers, Carol and Daryl get into the van and discover it is from Grady Memorial Hospital, just before the van falls off the highway. They again come upon Noah and retrieve their weapons from him, but they then realize that he might know more about where Beth is being held.
However, just as they exit the building Carol is struck by a car driven by the cops from Grady Memorial Hospital and is taken away. Noah then convinces Daryl that they need to find more people and guns before rescuing Beth and Carol from the hospital.
