'The Voice' season 11 update: Trailers released; judges open season with 'Dream On' performance

NBC Network's reality talent show "The Voice" recently revealed a preview of the upcoming season last Sunday night. In the teaser, judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys sang Aerosmith's "Dream On," and fans loved it.
Alicia opened the song, playing the piano and effortlessly hitting those notes. The show's regular judges Blake and Adam then followed. Last but not the least was Miley who completely got the crowd screaming and pumped up.
This will be the first season for the show to feature two female coaches. If the producers intend to get a cat fight from Miley and Alicia, it seems like that is unlikely to happen. Both female artists exuded exquisite harmonies in the preview. The only cat fight the show is going to see is between Adam and Blake, as it has always been.
According to the Huffington Post, a tribute to former contestant Christina Grimmie was also presented in the teaser. Grimmie was fatally shot last June by a deranged fan. She was signing autographs when it happened.
"The Voice" also revealed a sneak peek of the next season, showing the new judges in their chairs and teasing how feisty they can get if they see talent they want.
This particular preview included a clip of "The Voice" season 11 contestant We McDonald singing "Feeling Good." The contestant earned a four-chair turn. Everyone fought hard to have We on their team. But it was Alicia who appealed to the contestant's emotions. She even asked her family to come up on stage.
In another teaser, Miley sang a duet with contestant Darby Walker. They sang to Dolly Parton's "Jolene." But Alicia refused to back down and they both sang "No One" on stage.
From the teasers, it seemed pretty clear that the new judges will not be holding back and are definitely not intimidated by Adam and Blake's previous experience on the show.
"The Voice" season 11 will premiere on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 P.M. EDT on NBC.
