'The Voice' 2014 Results, Elimination: Damien Lawson Wins Wild Card Voting Round

Damien Lawson from Team Levine won the nail-biting wild card voting round in "The Voice" last Tuesday at 9/8c on NBC.
The round saw contestants from the eliminated pool competing for one final chance to return to the contest, with the winner's name to be revealed the next day on the "Today Show."
Last Tuesday's episode of "The Voice" started with the results of the previous show in which five contestants -- Taylor John Williams, Craig Wayne Boyd, Damien, Chris Jamison and Matt McAndrew -- performed.
It was quickly revealed that only three had gotten through. They were Jamison, Boyd and McAndrew.
The wild card round then kicked off with the eliminated performers returning to the stage to perform for coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams.
First to perform was Reagan James who was originally from team Blake. The judges including Pharrell and Blake praised her for picking the right melodies and acting professionally.
Jessie Pits performed next and was welcomed back by Stefani. After that, team Stefani's Ryan Sill sang "Marry Me," which his former coach said was beautiful.
Anita Antoinette, also from Team Stefani, followed, singing her version of John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change."
Next up was former top 5 contestant Taylor Johnson Williams from Team Stefani who sang "Wicked Game."
Damien was next and he sang Bruno Mars' "Grenade." He seemed to have caught the fancy of the judges, with his coach Levine saying he deserved the wild card spot.
Following this, team Pharrell's Sugar Jones sang "Back to Black," which also scored well with the judges. Then Luke Wade who was originally from Team Pharrell sang "Have a Little Faith in Me" following which DaNica Shirey also from Team Pharell sang Mariah Carey's song "Without You."
With all the contestants for the wild card spot having performed, voting was opened.
The next day it was announced during the "Today Show" that Damien Lawson from Team Levine had won the wild card voting round.
