Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) will go on a rampage in the final season of The CW's supernatural drama TV series "The Vampire Diaries." This Salvatore will revisit his past devilish ways, while his brother Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) will try to pull him back and save him from himself.

E! News released one of the few promotional photos for the season premiere. The sneak peek revealed that Damon and Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey) trapped a couple of tourists driving by. Enzo was seen sprawled out in the middle of the road, pretending to have been hit by a car. That, however, was the bait. Once the couple was out of their vehicle, Damon appeared and the vampires brought the couple to their slaughterhouse.

In another photo, cops could be seen examining the vehicle that was abandoned on the road. Stefan most likely chased a lead that brought him to the scene. The younger Salvatore brother, along with Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham), has been working hard to capture the duo.

Another photo revealed guest star Kristen Gutoskie who will portray a character named Seline. The character will reportedly be hired by Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) and Caroline Forbes (Candice King) as a nanny for their twins. Seline is reportedly a "warm, nurturing nanny of two young kids by day, and a small-town girl trying to find her peace in a dangerous world by night," according to her official character guide.

Michael Trevino who portrayed Tyler Lockwood in the previous seasons will also be returning for the last season of "The Vampire Diaries," Entertainment Weekly reported. According to the news outlet, the werewolf hybrid will make an appearance in the third episode of the final season. He will try to help his friends knock some sense into Damon.

"The Vampire Diaries" will be back for its eighth and final season on The CW Network on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. EDT.
