'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 air date, spoilers: Final episode titles will be lines from the first season

The first three episodes titles for the final season of "The Vampire Diaries" have been released by The CW. The show revisits the past by using lines from the pilot season as episode titles.
According to Melty, the first episode is entitled "Hello, Brother," a line uttered by Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) in episode 1 of season 1, when he returned to Mystic Falls. The second episode is called "Today Will Be Different." The line is lifted from the the show's pilot episode when Elena Gilbert wrote it down on her diary. The title of the third episode is "You Decided That I Was Worth Saving." This is from the season finale and had something to do with the relationship of Damon and his brother Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley).
TV Line previously suggested that Stefan might be the one to save Damon. To recap, Stefan, Caroline Forbes (Candice King), and Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) were looking for Damon and Enzo St. John (Michael Malarkey). Both boys were controlled by the unknown evil of the Armory's vault. Perhaps in the third episode of the forthcoming season, Stefan will once again decide if his brother is worth saving. Most likely, he will come to Damon's aid. If there is anything certain about the Salvatore brothers relationship through the years, it's that family always helps family.
So far, only three episode titles have been released.
Moreover, the eighth and final season of the network's supernatural drama television series "The Vampire Diaries" is reportedly welcoming back the well-loved actress Nina Dobrev, who used to portray Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce. Sources said Dobrev could return as Katherine, the vampire who fled Mystic Falls when she was hunted by the hybrid vampire-werewolf Klaus Mikaelson.
At the San Diego Comic-Con last month, executive producer Julie Plec wanted to pay tribute to the first season since season 8 will be the show's last.
"The Vampire Diaries" returns to The CW Network on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. EDT.
