'The Sims 4' release date news: Latest DLC expected to arrive by November?
There definitely is a new expansion pack for "The Sims 4" titled "City Living," and none other than Electronic Arts (EA) unveiled the official release date—Nov. 1.
The expansion pack will apparently feature new content. Moreover, as "The Sims" official website says, the "City Living" expansion pack will introduce a "busier" city, as well as lifestyle for players to enjoy. The setting of the game is San Myshuno, described as a "rich, diverse city" that is "tucked up against the nearby mountains."
As per EA, the city will be something completely new and has so much to offer players not only in terms of activities but also in terms of overall aesthetic/user interface. According to EA's press release, "City Living" will be different from other cities where big, beautiful houses in large spaces, this update will feature penthouses and apartments in the fashion of the condominiums in "The Sims 3: Late Night" expansion.
Aside from the change in dwelling places, players can also explore new careers as a politician, critic, and social media practitioner. The more a player gets richer and ranks up, the more penthouses he may afford. Penthouse dwellers will experience a more luxurious life that provides "a totally different experience."
As for players dwelling in apartments, the atmosphere will be more realistic, with complaining neighbors, moody property owners, and power interruptions.
Players can sing in a Karaoke Bar or attend different festivals. Festivals range from romantic ones to geeky conventions. Hanging out with friends and playing sports like basketball are also possible.
"The Sims 4" City Living will be available on PC and Mac for $40. This means the expansion will not be released on consoles like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
Neurogadget reports that Sony gaming consoles have been having problems porting "The Sims 4" due to technical issues, so that's something players should keep in mind when they avail of the expansion pack.
