'The Sims 4' news, rumors: Game to launch in PS4, Xbox One; 'Pets' expansion will be available soon?

There have been rumors surrounding the Sims community that Electronic Art's latest life simulating video game "The Sims 4" is going to be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 sometime in the near future. The game, which was first released on Sept. 2, 2014, is expected to get an updated version playable in the new generation consoles.
According to a report from the Yibada website, "The Sims 4" release in PS4 and Xbox One will include all the updates and DLC's that were first made exclusive for the PC game version in Mac and Windows platforms. However, the same report noted that the planned "The Sims 4" game version for the consoles might have to be pushed back because Electronic Arts needs to attend to other problems that the game developer company is having presently. As of now, there are no official words coming from EA regarding the console version release.
Another interesting rumor for "The Sims 4" fans is the upcoming expansion pack for the game. The Inquisitr reported that the expansion set for the game is going to involve pets. The expansion, which will be called "The Sims 4: Pets," is hypothetically going to feature the ability to adopt and create pets. Sims will also be able to build relationships with their pets by having positive interactions between them. Once the relationship is fulfilled, the pets will turn into loyal companions of their Sim owners. It is also reported that the pets will have different personalities and will also acquire skill points and careers of their own along the way.
The rumor of the upcoming "The Sims 4: Pets" started when a new Sims survey was reported to be shared among the players of "The Sims 4" in different online communities, asking what expansion packs they are expecting to see in the future. The result of the latest survey has "Pets" as the people's choice.
There is also a proposed new town included in the survey result that is meant to be for pets onls. According to iDigitaltimes, players will now be able to adopt and create their own pets using the Create a Sim (CAS) mode, where they can choose among cats, dogs and horses as their preferred animal type. The pets will also be given their own personal traits by the players and can be trained directly by their owners to learn different abilities.
This will not be the first time that "The Sims 4" team had a survey for the next expansion pack. In October 2014, a survey was released and had the expansion dealing with active careers as the most preferred choice. After five years, Maxis released "The Sims 4: Get to Work."
