"The Royals" will soon hit the screens for its much-anticipated third season, with new characters to get tangled up in the lives of the fictional British royal family.

Jules Knight is the latest addition to the show's talented cast, and he will portray the role of the new Lord Chamberlain to the Queen of England named Spencer Hoenigsberg. His character is described as "smart, charismatic and cunning, [Spencer] is a professional willing to go the extra mile to make sure his job is a job well done. He has excellent taste and a knack for the details. Despite a bit of a rough start, his future in the palace is certain to be a bright one," TV Line reports. Kight was previously a part of BBC One's "Holby City," and this marks the actor's first stint in a U.S. series. Coincidentally, Knight attended the University of St. Andrews along with real-life royals Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

Also on board this season is "The Tudors" star Max Brown who will play the role of Prince Robert. He was presumed to be dead after a plane crash happened back in the pilot season, but he will soon be introduced in the story.

During the 2016 NBCUniversal Upfront last month, actress Elizabeth Hurley shared juicy details about what's to come for her character Queen Helena and the rest of the royal family members. "There's a lot of intrigue, there's a lot of scandal, there's a lot of drama going on," she told E! News. "There's definitely some big twists coming up, some of which I've been told about." In terms of her character's romantic life, Hurley hopes that the Queen will finally have a partner. "I think the Queen may fall in love in season three. My fingers are crossed for her," she added.

The network has yet to announce a premiere date for "The Royals" season 3, but the series is expected to return sometime later this year.
