'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' season 9 news: Kandi, Kenya, Cynthia and Phaedra set to return, casting for a replacement for Porsha?
Bravo's hit reality TV series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is only a few weeks away from its much-anticipated return to the small screen, and new details about the show's casting have recently surfaced.
As noted by Rhymeswithsnitch, viewers will see two new faces to fill in the spot left by Porsha and Sheree. Meanwhile, four cast members already renewed their contracts including Kandi, Kenya, Cynthia and Phaedra. NeNe Leakes has yet to decide if she stays or leaves the series for good.

According to an insider for Sandra Rose, the network is currently searching for a cast member with a strong personality like Porsha, but they want to make sure that she does not have violent tendencies. "BRAVO really does not like the physical altercations Porsha has been involved in these past few seasons, and it's really hurting the brand especially the casting process," the publication's trusted source notes. "BRAVO as a network does not want to be associated with physical violence on their network like VH1. Porsha's social media following, fanbase, and viewer likability are her only saving graces. So don't be surprised if there are 2 new housewives next season, but everything is still in the screening stages."
Back in March, Kim Fields confirmed during an interview with "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show" that she will be quitting the show after season 8, saying that she's "done." The "Facts of Life" actress stressed that she remains grateful after a year of being a part of the series. "It was for the experience," she said. "It was to be able to do a genre that I'd been asked to do before and finding a way to do it that made sense for my team and or the family. Overall it was a really great experience."
On another note, NeNe is currently making headlines after allegedly going too far with plastic surgery. New photos of the 48-year-old after reportedly having a nose job are making the rounds online. Prior to her recent surgery, NeNe previously admitted going under the knife in 2010 to improve her appearance.
