The Originals' Season 4 spoilers, plot news: Hayley Marshall to have huge role for Mikaelsons next season
It was reported that Hayley Marshall, the mother of Niklaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) daughter Hope, will be having a huge role in the upcoming fourth season of "The Originals" Season 4. Actress Phoebe Tonkin plays the role of the female werewolf and vampire hybrid.
Tonkin spilled some details about her role in the new chapter of the story at the at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con. She revealed that Hayley's actions in the upcoming season will be family-driven, and she will do anything to help the people that she already considered as family.
"When we met Hayley, all she ever wanted was a family. Through the events that happened, she created a family on her own with her daughter. I don't think she feels alone - one, because she has five bodies in the back of her car - and because she has a purpose, a family-driven purpose," she explained during Comic-Con event. She also confirmed that there will be a time jump in the series, where Hope will appear as a seven-year-old girl once Season 4 arrives next year.
It is also expected that Hayley's huge task to save the Mikaelsons in Season 4 is to locate all the seven werewolves in the series' mythos in order to formulate the antidote that will save the Original family's lives. To bring all of these werewolves together, Hayley will need to reconnect with her werewolf origins.
Executive producer Michael Narducci earlier confirmed in an interview with TV Line that there will be a five-year time jump in the premiere and this will set the tone for the rest of the episodes.
"She was two years old when we left her... and now she's a little person. She's got dialogue and hopes and dreams, and she misses her dad and understands her family has suffered a great loss. Hayley's a great mom," said Narducci.
YIbada noted that Hayley and Klaus' daughter Hope is a very special being. Aside from being witch, she also inherited the vampire curse from her father and the werewolf gene from both of her parents, thus making her a mixture of all three supernatural species. Most importantly, Hope's father believe that her daughter will live up to her name and be the salvation that the Mikaelsons need right now.
