'The Originals' season 4 spoilers news 2016: New vampire, werewolf to be introduced; Hayley finds cure for family
"The Originals" season 4 has been confirmed to return with a five-year time jump after the unfortunate events in the season 3 finale. A new vampire will visit New Orleans when the show premieres, and he will have some business with Klaus Mikaelson.
During last week's San Diego Comic-Con, series star Joseph Morgan revealed that Neil Jackson has been cast to play the role of a vampire named Alistair, but details about his character are still under wraps. Jackson's previous TV acting gigs include appearances in "Sleepy Hollow," "Blindspot" and "Person of Interest."
TV Guide recently reported that an unknown "sadistic vampire" is heading to the Big Easy to settle an old score with Klaus, but it remains to be seen if the character mentioned is Alistair. The new big bad reportedly has a "centuries-old grudge" against Klaus, and is willing to do all things evil just to get revenge. Unfortunately, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) will be his first victim. Alistair is said to have an encounter with Klaus in season 4, so fans should wait and see if he will be the next villain.
Actress Christina Moses, who played the lead role in The CW's short-lived series "Containment," has also been cast to portray a bisexual werewolf named Keelin. Her character is an ER doctor who is the last wolf in her family and her first meeting with the Mikaelsons will turn into a fight.
Season 4 will focus on Hayley as she tries to find a cure for the Mikaelsons. In the official trailer, she appears to have finally found a means to treat Klaus from his pain-induced coma. As fans can recall, Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) were both bitten, Freya (Riley Voelkel) was poisoned and Rebekah (Claire Holt) became a ripper. Marcel thinks they are all dead, but it won't be long until he finds out that they're still alive. He will continue to hunt them and it will be up to Hayley to cure them before it's too late.
