'The Originals' season 4 release date, cast news, spoilers: Will Hayley and Klaus rekindle their old love for each other?

Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be working on their parenting dynamic to keep their daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana), safe from all threats. Will the two have a chance to rekindle their past love?
"The Originals" season 4 will feature a time jump of five years after Klaus and the rest of the Mikaelson family have been cursed to a painful slumber. The series will follow Hayley in her search to find the cure and to locate the last living werewolf pack.
It is anticipated that Hope has grown up to become a very powerful child who has inherited Klaus' dark side and who has witchcraft abilities as well. Because of her abilities, several forces are out to get their hands on Hope, and it is up to Hayley and Klaus to protect their only daughter from harm.
It is possible that Hayley and Klaus will fall in love with each other this season 4, but in an interview with TV Line, showrunner Michael Narducci shared that the two will focus more on their daughter.
"They trust and each other and will do whatever it takes to protect their kid, and I think you'll start to see a lot more of that. They're not lovers, but they're parents of this girl, and they have to be in concert if they're going to do everything they need to do to raise her and protect her," Narducci explained.
Aside from Hayley and Klaus' new parenting dynamic with Hope, a new vampire can be expected from "The Originals" season 4.
"Sleepy Hollow" star Neil Jackson is set to appear as a vampire named Alistair in "The Originals" season 4. Details regarding Jackson's character remain scarce, but the vampire is said to have a direct contact with Klaus. Whether Alistair will be a friend or a foe to the Mikaelsons is yet to be revealed, and fans can only know for sure once the season premieres.
"The Originals" season 4 premieres on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
