'The Originals' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Klaus battles it out with Lucien, Freya takes matters into her own hands

Last week's episode of "The Originals" season 3 is nothing short of heart-wrenching, following the death of Cami. Even though Klaus and his allies did everything they can to find a cure for her, all their efforts were in vain. After what happened, Klaus was definitely angered and desperate to take Lucien down. As they plot their revenge, Kol and Marcel's plea for help will sway them from executing their plan.

As noted in the official synopsis for tonight's episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) will stop at nothing to avenge the murder of Cami. They find a way to finally end Lucien's (guest star Andrew Lees) life but their efforts will be put on hold when Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) ask for their help. Frey and Elijah offer their help while Klaus and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) track down Lucien. They go to the bayou after finding out about Lucien's latest plan, and an unexpected fight breaks out.

Cami's death brought everyone together which is a rare sight to see, and showrunner Michael Narducci recently talked about how it will affect the future episodes. "I think that's going to make people a little bit sharp and harsh and bitter and angry towards one another in the short term," he told Entertainment Weekly. "And in the long term, there's going to have to be some healing and understanding that we brought this on ourselves but we can fix things ourselves. I think Cami's influence will definitely bear fruit in that long view of the story." As for the character of Davina, Narducci confirmed that even though she is physically dead, her story is definitely far from over.
