The latest episode of CW's supernatural drama series "The Originals" had the viewers on the edge of their seats last Friday. It was a truly haunting moment when one of the main protagonists of the show was seen suffering in the hands of the cunning villains. There were a few scenes of triumph when the good guys teamed up to take down one of the antagonists, but in the end, the fans were still left distraught with one shocking bite.

The third season's episode 18 entitled "The Devil Comes Here And Sighs" saw Niklaus (played by Joseph Morgan) coming face to face with the newly reborn and enhanced Original vampire, Lucien. The fans of the show are used to seeing Niklaus beating his enemies easily even when he's outnumbered, thanks to his Original vampire and werewolf status. However, the serum that Lucien drank from the previous episode gave him immense speed and strength that can topple every being in the world, including the Original vampires. Moreover, Lucien imbued the serum with the venom of all known werewolf clans, thus making his vampire bite extra deadly. During the duel, Lucien easily had the upper hand and took Niklaus as captive.

The episode also showed Lucien and Aurora seemingly teaming up to defeat the Mikaelsons. However, it was later on revealed that Aurora was just using Lucien for her own selfish reason to exact revenge against Niklaus. It appears that Aurora has still not moved on from her affair with the Original hybrid, and so she planned to kill two of the most important women in Niklaus' life: Camille and Hayley (played by Phoebe Tonkin). When the two lady vampires arrived to save Niklaus, Aurora initially beat the tandem due to her being a much older vampire. Luckily for Cami and Hayley, they tricked the vengeful vampire and put her in a deep sleep. Niklaus was freed.

Lucien, on the other hand, will never be at peace knowing that his foes are still running around safe and sound. As it was made clear to him that Aurora is still into Niklaus and she will never love him back, Lucien thought that hurting Niklaus' love of his life will be the best revenge. He came up to Cami's doorstep, taunted her and sunk his teeth enchanted with a deadly werewolf toxin on her arm. As seen from the previous episode, Lucien's venom easily killed the second eldest Mikaelson, Finn. It seems that Cami will be the next one to perish, but will Niklaus and his family let their closest ally die without finding a cure?

No one knows if Cami will survive another threat to her life. Earlier this season, Cami was compelled to slit her own throat and appeared to have died. However, she actually died with Aurora's vampire blood, thus turning her into a newborn vampire. There are hints that Pipes might be leaving her role as Camille, although her character's fate can only be confirmed in the next episode of "The Originals," which will air on April 29.
