Mindy Lahiri will meet a new love interest when Hulu's hit romantic comedy "The Mindy Project" returns for season 5.

Season 4 left off with Mindy (creator, executive producer and star Mindy Kaling) trying to choose between her two potential suitors: her co-worker Jody (Garrett Dillahunt) and her ex-fiance and baby daddy Danny (Chris Messina). It looks like Mindy will have a harder time choosing the right man for her this season because a new character will enter the picture and try to win her affection as well.

"Smash" alum Jack Davenport recently landed a guest starring role in the single-camera comedy, and he will portray Leland Breakfast. Dubbed as the "bad boy of the West End," Leland is an English stage actor who goes to New York City to star in a one-man show. He crosses paths with Mindy and ends up taking an interest in her.

In addition to Davenport, the series will feature guest stars including Bryan Greenberg, Nasim Pedrad and Rebecca Rittenhouse. Also returning for the series are actors Adam Pally, Bill Hader, Anders Holm and B.J. Novak.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, co-showrunner Matt Warburton explained why Mindy continues to have romantic dilemmas. "She's a character who has a lot of outward confidence but inner self-doubts she's been wrestling with all season, like, 'How picky do I get to be as a single mom? Am I OK with settling? Am I OK with saying no to both?'" he said.

Kaling and the rest of the cast recently celebrated the show's 100th episode in Los Angeles last Friday (Sept. 9). "When you reach 100 episodes they bake you a huge beautiful cake like you are getting married to the show you're on! #themindyproject @hulu," the actress posted on her Instagram account.
