'The Legend of Zelda' release date update 2016: Nintendo to let fans play the demo of the game in June; Title to be released in 2017

Good news for "The Legend of Zelda" as the company has finally announced its intention to launch the long-running game for both Wii-U and Nintendo NX. However, players will have to wait until 2017 for the game.

According to a report by IGN, Nintendo is said to allow around 500 gamers to try the demo of the title in June. The publication added that the lucky players will be brought to the Nintendo store in New York. The registration of entry for gamers is set to begin on June 11. All first 500 players will be given a wristband, which they will later trade for a ticket to the demo presentation.

Nintendo requested all fans who would like to join to bring a valid ID. Minors who wish to join the must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the event, which will kick-off on June 14.

According to reports, Nintendo will launch a video trailer of the game, which will show gameplay actions, at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. The video trailer is said to be showed live at the Nintendo store in New York. Meanwhile, during the event, Nintendo will allow its people to host several in-depth demos of "The Legend of Zelda."

These game experts will also guide the players as they try their skills on the game. However, the company has yet to provide details as to how long each demo will last.

As of the moment, fans don't have any idea if the demo will feature the full content of the game or just some parts that have already been developed. Only Nintendo knows how far along the game is in right now.
