'The Last Ship' season 3 episode 5 spoilers news: Chandler's plan becomes complicated, President Michener deals with pressure from regional heads
Chandler's position continues to worsen which further complicates his mission while President Michener must deal with the pressure from regional leaders in the upcoming episode of TNT's post-apocalyptic drama "The Last Ship" season 3.
According to spoiler reports, the fifth episode titled "Minefield" will focus more on politics as President Michener reflects on his post. With the escalating pressure from the regional heads, he will ponder on what he has done and analyze his accomplishments. Chandler's final plan will also be revealed, but a lot of complications will get in the way of his mission.
The promo trailer starts off with a crew member of USS Nathan James saying, "We're surrounded. There's no way out." Chandler is well aware that they are outnumbered by the enemies, and he must come up with a plan to keep everyone in the ship alive. Meanwhile, the President delivers a speech and asks everyone to "maintain faith in this time of crisis."
On another note, Chandler will also have his share of romantic encounters this season with his new love interest Sasha Cooper. In an interview, actress Bridget Regan weighed in on the dynamic between the two characters and how their story arc will play out. "She's reunited with Tom Chandler and they have a past," Regan explained. "They go way back and in some ways they are more similar than they would both like to admit and she challenges him in a way no one else on the ship does. At the same time, she trusts his judgement completely and she's on board with him. She has a relationship with Tom not like anyone else on the ship. Meaning, she knows a different side of him that no one else knows. That being said, Sasha is ready to put aside her emotions and get the job done."
