'The Good Wife' Season 6 Episode 7 Recap, Spoilers: Alicia Faces New Opponent for State Attorney's Post

In the latest episode of "The Good Wife" aired last Sunday, Nov. 2, Alicia Florrick faced a new opponent for the State Attorney's post as Finn brought up Cary's past with cocaine.
The seventh episode of the CBS legal and political drama, now on its sixth season, showed Alicia struggling with her new campaign and Cary's impending trial.
Alicia kicked off her campaign for State Attorney against James Castro, who is prosecuting Cary for political reasons, something Alicia has taken to heart. Alicia also met commentator and broadcaster Frank Prady, who she asked to endorse her. After Frank declined her request, Alicia invited him to join her in an interview instead.
Despite her preparation for the interview, Alicia crumbled when she was unable to answer some of Frank's questions. Frank eventually announced that he was also running for state attorney and will actually be Alicia's new rival.
Meanwhile, things are not going well for Finn Polmar, as he has to deal with his boss James, who is gunning for Cary Agos. James is determined to one-up Cary, and by extension Alicia.
In preparation for the prosecution, Finn dug into Cary's history when he used to work as a deputy state attorney. Finn found out that Cary checked out two kilograms of cocaine before it went missing. Despite the urging of his lawyer Diane Lockhart, Cary refused to tell the truth.
Kalinda Sharma urged Cary to subpoena Governor Peter Florrick, who she knew ordered Cary to acquire the cocaine in the first place. When Cary refused, Kalinda told Diane herself and also managed to find the missing witness who was originally going to testify against Cary. However, the witness and his cousin were found dead in a car accident several days later, leaving Cary with no defense.
The story will continue in the eighth episode of the "The Good Wife" to air on Sunday, Nov. 9. The episode will see how Cary's fate unfolds and also the return of Louis Canning, played by Michael J. Fox. The online promo video shows Louis and Alicia meeting again and going head-to-head on a new case.
