Erica (Hayley Orrantia) and Lainey (A.J. Michalka) play matchmaker, while Barry (Troy Gentile) learns more about being a gym teacher in the upcoming second episode of ABC's hit sitcom "The Goldbergs" season 4.

Titled "I Heart Video Dating," the next episode will see Erica and Lainey team up to find a woman for Bill (guest star David Koechner) by attempting to use new technology for dating. The duo recruits Adam (Darien Provost) to help them create a demo reel, but Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) insists finding someone the old fashioned way. Meanwhile, Barry's "failed" aptitude test will lead him to decide he wants to be a gym teacher, and Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) will become his new mentor.

The fourth season opened with an episode inspired by "The Breakfast Club," and executive producer Adam F. Goldberg recently revealed another '80s-set pop culture hit he wants to incorporate in the show. "The crossover I want to do is 'Stranger Things,'" he told TV Line. "I have a scenario in my head that I don't want to spoil. The producer of [his upcoming ABC comedy] 'Imaginary Mary' [Shawn Levy] is also a producer and director of one of the episodes of 'Stranger Things.' We've discussed what that would look like, which is really cool."

As for other season 4 highlights fans should look forward to, "little" Adam is now a high schooler, which means viewers can expect to see some growing pains as he tries to explore the 9th grade. According to the EP, Adam will find himself at the bottom of the social ladder, which is something he has gotten used to. He will start to realize how things feel different and somehow embarrassing as he matures.

"We will see Adam make several inventive, but less than geniuS attempts to force friends, fitting in, and meeting ladies. Of course, he'll have to get over his biggest and constant challenge: his family," Goldberg previewed.

The fourth season of "The Goldbergs" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
