'The Fosters' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Brandon auditions at Julliard; Stef and Lena to get a divorce?
Brandon (David Lambert) pursues his passion by auditioning for Julliard while the moms make a shocking announcement in the upcoming episode of Freeform's family drama "The Fosters."
To provide a short recap, the last episode saw how the robotics competition caused too much pressure for Mariana (Cierra Ramirez). Brandon realized that he wants to chase his dream of being a performer while Callie (Maia Mitchell) was warned by the police after she harassed Patrick (Chad Todhunter) in an attempt to know the truth.
Next week's episode is titled "New York" which is a reference to where Brandon will go for his Julliard audition. Despite being doubtful of his capabilities at first, Brandon finally gets the confidence he needs to try his luck in the popular performing arts conservatory.
According to the official press release, Brandon will meet a new girl during his stay in the Big Apple. The mysterious woman will force him take a look at his life as well as his relationship with Cortney (Denyse Tontz). While Brandon is away, Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) will reveal some news — leaving the whole family in shock. Furthermore, Callie's friendship with Aaron (Elliot Fletcher) leads AJ (Tom Williamson) to doubt her faithfulness in their relationship.
A promo clip for episode 9 has been recently released, teasing that the family will go through a lot of changes. Brandon is seen exploring different places in New York while talking to his newfound female friend. Jude (Hayden Byerly) is seen kissing his male friend but before they go too far, Jude said, "I don't think I'm ready for that." The next scene cuts to Lena and Stef having a serious conversation about their marriage. "If nothing's ever gonna change between us, what is the point?" a frustrated Lena asked.
The final moments of the video show the whole family gathered in their living room for Stef and Lena's announcement. "You're getting a divorce?" Mariana asked her parents before the teaser ends.
