Those fans who have been waiting for confirmation of the popular family drama TV show "The Foster" returning to primetime television will be delighted that the series' fourth season has been announced to premiere on June 20.

According to a report from Cartermatt, the successful American TV drama from the Freeform network is expected to return to television very soon with the usual touch of drama and a bit of comic relief. "The Fosters" Executive Producer Bradley Bredeweg also shared the good news with the show's long-time viewers through his Twitter account.

"June 20th! Season 4. We RETURN! Don't miss—what I believe—will be the most intense two-part premiere that we've EVER had. #TheFosters," Bredeweg excitedly stated on Twitter.

From the same Cartermatt report, The Freeform network revealed that the production for "The Fosters" Season 4 has already commenced and a few new episodes have already been filmed. Rob Morrow, who has recently appeared in many projects such as "The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story" and "Billions," is reported to direct the first two episodes of the fourth season. He had already directed a few episodes of the show in the past.

There were a lot of issues left hanging in the finale episode of Season 3 that are all expected to be tackled and hopefully solved as the fourth season begins. One of the things that will cause a stir in Season 4 is the relationship of Callie (played by Maia Mitchell) and Brandon (played by David Lambert) being revealed to Stef (played by Teri Polo) and Lena (played by Sherri Saum). It will result in bigger consequences for the foster siblings especially that process of Callie's adoption was already finalized. Stef and Lena wanted the two to act like real siblings, but will the couple fight for their love or give in to their parents' wishes?

There is also an issue plaguing the life of Jude as he seems to be having confusion about his sexual preference. In the first three seasons, Jude (played Hayden Byerly) was known to be gay and had a short-lived relationship with a teenage boy named Connor. However, he was seen becoming intimate with a girl from school.
